Abu Garcia 7000iC3 CT-MAG HS: The Ultimate Big Water Hi Speed Casting Reel
Abu Garcia has introduced the 7000iC3 CT MAG Hi-Speed baitcast reel, a large series reel designed for big water casting. According to the manufacturer, they build special considerations for cranking comfort into the reel. The gear ratio of 5.3:1 recovers 28 inches of line with each crank, providing higher speed retrieval of big baits in both freshwater and saltwater situations.
The 7000iC3′s MagTraxâ„¢ brake system is easily configured with the side plate knob for adjustments to match the fish or fishing conditions. With the Carbon Matrix Drag System, the reel’s solid and smooth line drag also features two High Performance Corrosion Resistant bearings and one Instant Anti-Reverse bearing, providing smooth performance and lasting life.

Abumatic 170i Introduced: Advanced Spincasting
Abu Garcia has introduced the new Abumatic 170i, a spincast reel that incorporates features usually found in baitcasters. Some features include:

Abu Garcia’s BCX Baitcast Reel Swedish Engineering For A Lifetime Of Performance
A strong cranking baitcast reel is mandatory for fighting big fish like catfish or northern pike. The Abu Garcia BCX reel features an Anti-Distortion Spool (ADS) that won’t torque under a heavy load with the 5.3:1 gear ratio designed for tough fish hoisting. The BCX gives the angler a quality reel at a value price point. Four stainless steel bearings give the reel a smooth operation for casting or cranking.

European saltwater anglers have enjoyed the features of the Abu Garcia® Ambassadeur® 5500/6500 Classic Inshore reels and now North American anglers have access to this saltwater workhorse. The round, one-piece reel frame and side plate of the Classic Inshore is made of aluminum alloy. This material is more durable and lighter than regular aluminum and is highly corrosion resistant, ideal for saltwater applications.
The reel also has ADS (anti-distortion spool) for smooth operation under pressure. To create the smoothest and most consistent drag possible, the reel has the Carbon Matrix Drag System. Popular Low Profile High Speed Reels Now Available In Left Hand Models
When Abu Garcia introduced the Revo low profile baitcast reels anglers from coast to coast were greatly impressed and the Revo demand began. Now anglers can get the high speed 7.1:1 Revo SX and high speed 7.1:1 Revo STX in left handed versions. The low profile frame and side plate of the SX and STX is made of aluminum alloy. This material is more durable and lighter than regular aluminum and corrosion resistant.
Eleven High Performance Corrosion Resistant (HPCR) bearings provide the smooth casting with added distance. All SX reels weigh just 8.7 ounces, the STX models weigh 8.75 ounces. Both the SX and STX reels hold 140 yards of 12-pound test monofilament fishing line.

Round Reel Line Capacity In A Low Profile Reel
The new Revo Toro baitcast reel from Abu Garcia takes the sleek and comfortable design of the low profile Revo reel and adds the high-capacity spool size found on a round reel. The combination allows the angler to fight and turn a hard-driving and long-running fish from the hookset. Available in two sizes, the Model 50 has a line capacity of 200 yards of 14-pound monofilament fishing line.
The larger Model 60 will hold 250 yards of 14-pound line. The low profile frame and side plate of the Toro is made of aluminum alloy. This material is more durable and lighter than regular aluminum and is highly corrosion resistant. The seven High Performance Corrosion Resistant (HPCR) bearings and Duragear brass gears add to the reel’s durability and long life. With 24-pounds of maximum drag, the Carbon Matrix Drag System is double the strength of similar competitor models. This is particularly important with the hook set on a lake trout, turning a tough snook or keeping a muskie from entering a brush pile. Abumatic Made Lighter
A fishing companion for generations, the Abu Garcia Abumatic spincast reel is now lighter than the original Abumatic reels.
Instant Anti-Reverse is standard on all Abumatic reels, as is a 3.6:1 gear ratio. All can be configured for left or right hand operation. Two-bearing Models 276i and 276Ui, four-bearing 476i and five-bearing 576i are pre-spooled with Berkley Trilene monofilament fishing line. The 1276i is specially engineered for and spooled with Berkley FireLine superline.
The titanium nitride line guide found on each reel will not wear down, with monofilament or superlines. Under-Spin casting is found on the Abumatic 276Ui. Hanging under the rod like an open-face spinning reel, the reel has an easy to operate line release handle and functions much like a spinning reel with the ease of a closed face model.
